Happy Monday! We’re only a few days away from the official start of Summer and there’s only one thing on my mind..
a nice, crisp glass of chilled wine.
Seriously, is there anything better than a warm evening on the patio with your people and your favorite wine? I’ll wait… NOPE. In honor of Summer being right around the corner, I’m spilling my five favorite outdoor spots to enjoy a glass (or three, we won’t judge 😉) of wine.
Chattanooga is great year round, but something about the Summer just really makes it feel alive. It’s been growing so much and we’re starting to become different little ‘neighborhoods’, each with a fun personality!
Number One, STIR. The first spot on my list is STIR. Their huge patio overlooking Station Street is perfect for girl’s night or a fun, romantic date. A glass of wine accompanies their incredible food so well. My favorite dish? The Ahi Tuna Salad.
Number Two, Easy Bistro. Rosé lovers rejoice! Easy Bistro has the most delicious (an instagrammable) Frosé in Chattanooga. The lemon-y notes with hints of strawberries, this take on rosé is like an adult slushy! Grab one on their patio with the perfect view of our famous aquarium.
Number Three, Boathouse. Do you enjoy a great wine tasting? Boathouse has the most fun 16 wine tap, that allows you to self serve and taste as you please! Once you’ve found a favorite head to the patio for an unbeatable view of the river and bridges.
Number Four, the Westin. Our city is gorgeous and getting a view from the top takes it to a whole other level, literally! Grab a glass of wine on the tenth floor of the Westin’s Alchemy and then head down to dinner in West Village. If you’re a pizza lover, Alimentari is for you!
Number Five, Wine Over Water. My all time favorite, most incredible view, place to grab a glass of wine is at the annual Wine Over Water event. There isn’t anything else that screams Chattanooga like a wine tasting on our famous Pedestrian Bridge. Each Fall, this event places you in the heart of the city, surrounded by the South’s famous changing Fall leaves and gives you a full night of wine tasting. If you are not from Chattanooga, this is the perfect event to travel to the city for. There are multiple brunches, lunches, dinners and tastings throughout the weekend that accompany Wine Over Water and it will give you a true taste of how wonderful our city is. In addition to wine, the presenting sponsor Publix, will be offering complimentary charcuterie on the bridge and local restaurants will be offering a taste of their menu. Tickets went on sale this past weekend, if they don’t sell out prices will rise closer to the event, so get them now (click here to purchase)! Trust me when I say, you don’t want to miss my favorite event of the year! This will be my third year attending Wine Over Water and I cannot wait. Often my family comes in town for the event and we have a whole weekend out of it. If you have any questions about it, let me know below!
Where’s your favorite spot for a glass of wine? Are you a red or white type of gal? I hope to see you guys at Wine Over Water! If you get your ticket soon, let me know so I can look for you! XO
Thanks so much to Wine Over Water for sponsoring this post. All opinions, and love for wine, is my own.
