When I was packing for NYC last week I realized something about my closet. I have plenty of rompers, summer dresses, and white tops what I was seriously lacking was a nice, light pair of summer pants. Don’t get me wrong I live in my denim shorts but I was craving something new! I hit the jackpot when I found these for $19. [And don’t worry if you’re not a crop top girl, I’m sharing a few other tops that look perfect with these soft pants.

More days than less you will catch me in a casual outfit. If I could I would live in denim shorts, lace bralet and a cozy white tee but how boring would that be? When I am shopping I feel every single thing. If I buy something uncomfortable, 99% of the time it remains untouched in the back of my closet. Sad but true. When I saw these pants last week I knew they were the perfect staple that I’ve somehow made it this long without! Once I noticed they were only $19, my mom and I both had pairs in our dressing room.
I originally bought this coral top to wear with it and I love how it looks. It’s the perfect combo for work, dinner with family, or church but I was off to Fiesta Night with my girls and wanted something a little more “ole”. These pants can be tied looser around your hips or tightened around your belly for a crop top with minimum belly exposure. When the weather decides to stop being a diva and cool down, I will pair them with a military jacket + booties combo.
Often when I’m dressing down or running late I will throw on one statement necklace and a comfy pair of wedges. My Brantley Cecilia necklace is the perfect statement piece. It’s long so it lengthens your body (helllooo slimmer torso), is light around the neck, and is gorgeous. She has so many beautiful pieces to choose from, you could spend hours looking through the jewels. I know this piece will be in my wardrobe for years to come because the quality is amaze.
I couldn’t let you guys miss out on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. It’s different from normal sales in two ways. First, instead of being old summer items that didn’t fully sell out, it’s fall best sellers and wardrobe staples up to 50% off. Second, you can gain early access before the sale goes public by signing up for a card. I know what you’re thinking “I am not getting another credit card” which is fine! If you don’t want to get a Nordstrom credit card (I can’t because all self control would be out the window and you guys would see me crying into piles of debt in a couple of months!) you can link your debit card. Similar to Target cards, it comes straight out of your bank account, you get a discount and you earn Nordstrom points (think free goodies down the line!!) I will be sharing my favorite picks from the sale over the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned!
