Suede, Black & White

November 4, 2015

/ styleuncategorized

There’s nothing better than a great neutral piece. When your whole outfit is made up of perfect neutrals and fun textures you instantly feel chic and empowered. Perfect for a day at the office, a first date or a Saturday shopping for your family’s Christmas presents.

The last quarter of the year is super, super busy for me! I’m not complaining though, I have so many exciting things happening soon & I can’t wait to kick off the Holiday season on here tomorrow! When I’m busy I love to treat myself with a Caramel Brûlée latte from Starbucks! They are my absolute favorite and they’re only available for a short time. If y’all try one you have to let me know what you think!

I usually dress more boho and casual but when I have meetings I like to whip out my old office clothes.  I had a few meetings yesterday and then a hair appointment (y’all my hair is dark and I love it!). This look is presentable yet comfortable which is exactly what I was looking for. I bought this top when I worked in an office in Memphis. A white dress shirt is a staple for any closet but I get hot super easy. I wanted a short sleeve version that still could be dressed up or down.

I hope you’re not sick of seeing this faux suede skirt yet, I seriously cannot stop wearing it.. it’s SO versatile. I wore it in Asheville with this plaid top and it was adorable, I wore it to girl’s night with a tee and now I’ve worn it to a meeting. If that’s not getting your wear out of a $30 skirt I’m not sure what is! I love the fun 70’s vibe and the girly scallop hem, it may just be the perfect skirt. I might have to grab it in black too before it sells out. If you’re worried it’s too short for your workplace or wardrobe, it would look adorable with a pair of black tights!

Afternoons have been the perfect temperature here in the ‘Nooga but it’s still been so chilly in the mornings! I grabbed this coat last year (only $25 right now!) before our trip to NYC and it’s one of my absolute favorites! It makes any outfit look chic and put together, no matter how late you may be running in the morning.

I think this is my new favorite color combo, I know the rules say not to wear black & brown together but it actually pairs perfectly! What do y’all think about it?! I hope everyone had a wonderful hump day, I cannot wait for you guys to see my hair! EEK!

Let’s Be BFFs

Believes anything and everything can be conquered with a ‘can do, will do’ attitude. Always looking at the glass half full, even if it is a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Life’s better when it’s well lived –so say yes & have fun!

Loves Golden Retrievers, Coronas with Extra Lime, A Messy Kitchen from Cooking Up Something New for Her Husband & the Wheel of Fortune. Eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first little boy this August.

Soaking up everyday is easy with this sweet boy. He’s pretty much all smiles as long as the attention is all on him. He really loves eating, babies and Doodle. He’s scooting and already trying to get into everything. Lucky for us, so far he pretty much just goes in circles. His first tooth popped through and he has a little bit of very blonde hair. ⁣

Speaking of being frozen.. supposed to go to Memphis Monday but an ice/snow storm is coming?! So we either have to leave tomorrow or wait 😭 which interferes with the GF fried bologna biscuits I was surprising RJ with Sunday morning. 😂 #HomeSweetSitton
