I love, love, love sharing our little home with you guys! Turning our house into #HomeSweetSitton is one of my favorite past times, and it also brings in lots of questions from you guys!

I never mind answering them, but thought it may be easier to have them all in one spot! Today I’m going to round up all of our frequently asked home questions and answer them here.
Q: One of the top questions is about our paint colors…
A: I made this handy pinnable (click here to pin) graphic below so you can see all of them! We recently painted Foster’s nursery White Dove and I’m SO obsessed. I want to paint our whole house with this color. This isn’t our forever home, so I don’t think we will actually invest in having it all painted but I do think we will end up painting our master bedroom and possibly dining room with this color.
Q: Where do you live? Why do you live on Signal Mountain? Do you like living on Signal Mountain?
A: We live on the backside of Signal Mountain in Chattanooga, Tennessee. I moved to Chattanooga 10 years ago this August and lived downtown/Red Bank area up until August of 2017. In August, RJ and I moved up on Signal Mountain. He grew up on the mountain and I knew when we started dating he would eventually want to move back up here.
I really enjoy living on Signal. Being on the backside, we are about 20-25 minutes from downtown and 15-20 minutes to Hixson area. We live in a smaller neighborhood but still have space. Signal has incredible schools and a great community. We have a small Whole Foods type grocery store and a few other things like banks, restaurants and shops. I love how quiet and calm it is.
Q: Is this your forever home?
A: No not likely. It’s a great home and we are so lucky to live here but eventually we would like to build a custom home with a little bit more space. We love our neighbors, but RJ grew up with farm animals and a barn and we would love to have that. RJ also has to bring home construction equipment quite often, and it would be nice for him to have more space to store/work on things.
Q: Did you build this house? Can you share your floorplan?
A: We did not build this house, however we did buy it brand new! There are definitely a few things both cosmetically and layout wise that I would change if I were to build it but overall very, very happy with is. I don’t have our floorplans and don’t know if our builder would share but I can do an IGTV video tour if you’d guys would like?! I can share that it’s right under 3,100 square feet with a downstairs master, a master bath + powder bath and then three bedrooms upstairs, two full baths and an attic that could be finished to be a bonus room.
Q: I love your blinds! Can you tell me more about them?
A: Yes, and thank you! We love them, too. They are the Arlo Bamboo Woven Roman Shades. I cannot recommend them enough. They are so, so easy to install, affordable and I love the way they look. When we first moved in, we purchased a the same brand for our downstairs but they weren’t coordless. They work but are harder to move up and down. We don’t ever adjust ours, so this isn’t an issue but when we’re purchasing for upstairs, I saw a coordless option. We went with these and they are much easier to use! I would definitely opt for all coordless if we were buying again.
Q: I get a lot of questions about our kitchen runner. It’s vintage but I rounded up some affordable options below.

Q: Where is your favorite place to buy home decor?
A: I love shopping for home decor, but it’s also dangerous! Things can get pricey and since this isn’t our forver home I’m careful where I splurge. That being said, these are a few of my favorite places to shop for home decor and not spend an arm & a leg:
- Wayfair – they have great light fixtures, big furniture pieces, rugs, etc. They also have pretty quick shipping which is so nice.
- World Market – World Market is probably my most shopped. Not only do they have great ‘big’ pieces, but I love their small decor items as well. So much of Foster’s Nurery is World Market. The quality + price is amazing.
- Target – Of course browsing the aisles of Target is my heaven, but I love shopping online too. They often have more in stock and if it’s a bigger purchase, I can read reviews.
- Anthropologie – I love Anthropologie so much. I don’t buy a lot of big pieces here as they are pricy, but I still love browsing and their smaller decor items.
- Antique Stores – Antique shopping is one of my all time faves! It’s like a giant treasure hunt, you can find so many neat pieces and we often find things that tell a story. I shared a post about one of my favorite love antique shops here.
Q: How do you keep your house so clean with the dogs?
A: It’s not always clean! But we do have a few tricks + tips. See my post about it here.
Q: Can you link ____?
A: One of my top DMs is asking for links to items. Of course I never mind to share but I’m often slow to see/respond. I wanted to round up each room with all the links so you can easily, quickly shop whenever you’d like!
