Face rollers have gained major popularity over the past couple of years, and for good reason! Depuffing, relaxing, tightening, uplifting – the benefits are endless. So how do you choose which face roller is right for you? And how do you use it? Don’t worry, here’s an easy guide!

Feel free to save this graphic to your phone or Pinterest for easy access. I rounded up my personal favorite face rollers and some affordable skin care options to pair them with. As I mentioned, there are SO many benefits to face rolling. A few of the reasons I roll? Puffiness, undereye bags, sinus issues, TMJ issues and just to relax.
So which roller is right for you? Well, maybe all of them! I have face rollers stashed just about everywhere – in the freezer (yes, freezer!), in my nightstand and in my bathroom. Here’s the breakdown!
Kicking off the face roller list is two of my favorites! First up is this massaging face roller that’s actually a much more affordable dupe for a quite pricey roller that has landed on many beauty guru’s must-have list. This roller is my favorite because it has little beads all over it that really massage your face. This roller helps with releasing tension, uplifting your face, depuffing and is so relaxing. I pair it my Summer Fridays moisturizing mask. This lightweight formula can actually be a mask or moisturizer and feels so good on your skin. Each time I use this little duo, I feel like I had a mini spa trip!
TO USE: Apply a thin layer of moisturizer all over your face, then roll, roll, roll. Work in uplifting motions around your cheeks, jaw and forehead to help lift your skin. Gently roll undereyes for depuffing. Roll in a downward motion on your neck for lymphatic drainage.
This face roller is the craziest looking of the bunch! This one has a really specific use for me – TMJ RELIEF! It’s so helpful when my jaw is acting up. The double balls work together to gently pinch, pull and massage face muscles. It’s truly such a treat. I love to apply my Vitamin C Creme and then massage my whole face. Both are like a little slice of paradise! This creme works to brighten, moisturize and minimize lines so it’s the perfect partner for this roller.
TO USE: Apply a thin layer of Vitamin C creme and then gently roll all over your face. I typicall avoid the eye area with this one as it’s not as gently as the others. For TMJ relief, I really focus on my jaw muscles. Rolling up and down to help massage, release tension and reduce swelling.
Say hello to the roller that lives in my freezer! Yes, this is an ice roller and it’s amazing. While the rolling motion helps to depuff in general, the ice aspect of this roller means double time depuffing! I also love to press this under my eyes to help with puffy eyes. This is also your BFF after a night of too many cocktails, trust me! Yes, it’s a miracle worker on its own but paired with this $7 caffiene serum, its the holy grail. This serum is so affordable and works so well. This undereye serum contains caffiene that helps depuff, tighten and reduce dark circles. For only $7, I thought ‘what do I have to lose?!’ and I sure am glad I took the risk! I use it first, then my ice roller then finish off with my $1 miracle eye cream!
TO USE: Wash your face, apply serums, moisturizers, etc. and save your ice rolling for last! It will help lock in all your products deep within your pores. Roll all over your face for depuffing, uplifting and tightening. When it’s time for your eyes, very gently roll and/or press the roller into them.
While I do love the ice roller for undereyes, I think this jade face roller may just beat it out as my favorite. The size is so great for rolling underneath and the cool stone feels so nice. Plus, it’s so little so you can take it on the go or keep it wherever it’s handy for you! I love doing eye patches, like these water drench ones, then using the roller to really get the leftover serum into my skin. The three main component of these patches? Hyaluronic Acid: Hydrates and retains moisture, Marshmallow Root Extract: Softens the look of skin, Caffeine: Visibly de-puffs the delicate eye area.
TO USE: Apply patches and let sit for at least 5 minutes. Remove and discard. Next gently roll undereye so no serum is wasted! You can also use this roller all over your face, however I prefer the first three for my face.
Have you tried any of these face rollers or products? If you test them out, you have to let me know what you think! XO
