Howdy there babes, it’s July. JULY. We are over half way through 2015.. I’ll let that sink in. I always get surprised when I actually pause to realize the date [You’re probably like ‘Come on Riley, you act like the date is the most shocking news ever. 12 months in a year we get it.] But really, time can pass so quickly when you’re looking forward to big things that you forget to appreciate day to day life and that is SO important. I definitely am working on appreciating the little things, finding the beauty in everything.
Anywhoo, some of my favorite big & little moments from June were going to Miami for my bestie’s 24th birthday [again 24 I thought we were just 18.. what!], I’ve been working on some new business adventures [I launched Styles by Riles read the post here] & my mom has been in town over the weekend. What were your favorite parts of June?
I love doing an Instagram round up every couple of weeks for you guys. I think it is the best way to shop my ‘real life’ favorites and see them in action. Click the links below each picture to shop!
I live for accessories.. have you noticed that about me yet? I think they are the icing on the cake of a beautiful outfit and the perfect way to present your personality or mood. I can never pass up a delicate set of layering necklaces, stackable rings, or statement earrings. Give me affordable and lightweight neon, tassel, statement earrings and I will have these babies on at least three times a week.
*These sell out so fast. They were just restocked yesterday in four different colors, I love them all. Be sure to grab a pair before it’s too late! Baublebar offers 15% off your first order!
Another great part of this month was attending one of my best friend’s engagement party. The theme was ‘Time for Tea with the Bride to Be’ how stinking cute is that?! It was an absolute blast & hats were required, win-win in my book!
A friend of mine gave me this donut float so obviously I had to take a trip to the beach.. kidding [kinda]. I have a serious addiction to cute pool floats, they are Summer’s best friend! I have looked years for a one shoulder bikini that I loved and this year we have a winner! PS. How gorgeous is the Miami ocean? TAKE ME BACK.

I feel like this is one of the best things I have shared with you yet on my blog.. these denim shorts are perfection. I have added these shorts to my shopping cart and removed them 100+ times over the past year, I just am SO picky about denim shorts. [I hate my legs. I don’t like shorts that are tight on my thighs and have trouble finding shorts that fit my waist and don’t squeeze the heck out of my legs] These shorts though fit everywhere, they are loose and they are so cute. Size up at least one size, if you want them extra loose size up two sizes!
I love buying delicate necklaces because they are mixable, matchable, or gorgeous on their own, aka the perfect equation for investment pieces. The Y-Chain Necklace is under $40 and one of my favorite necklaces I own. It is the perfect base if you’re looking to up your layering game. I also don’t take my Arrow Head off from Kendra Scott & I receive so many compliments on it.

I look at this photo and I still think of the sunnies I am missing from my collection. Am I crazy? Yes. But sunglasses are classic and you wear them every single day. You can’t buy anything more useful than that right?
I received this clutch in the mail this week and have been carrying it all around my house because I was so excited to use it! Cow print is one of those fun neutrals that you don’t realize is actually a neutral and it goes with everything! It just makes me so excited. I can’t wait to show you guys all the ways you can style it!
I bought this white dress two or three years ago and it quickly became the ‘Sisterhood of the Traveling Dress’. A week did not go by where I wouldn’t receive the text. 911 I have to borrow the white dress. The occasion would always be different but the need for the dress would always be urgent. It has seen beaches, poolsides, Vegas, Miami, even my Mom stashed it in her closet for a few months. It’s universally flattering, it’s light weight, it’s so cute and I’ve found it’s identical twin. The twin is 99.9% identical and under $50. You will get years and years out of this dress.
Somedays I want to feel like I am in my pajamas, those days I reach for my linen shorts. I love how they fit and feel. Pairing them with a soft tee and a fun summer scarf (I’m loving this one & this one) is one of the easiest ways to look put together without trying. Apparently Doodle was over this day too, it was probably a Monday.
If you don’t follow me on Instagram, do so here (Instagram: @ChacosandChanelBlog)! I will be busy packing for NYC all day, we leave first thing in the morning. EEK!
