TGIF! I’m so excited to bring back one of my favorite series!! Grab your coffee and let’s chit chat. I love, love sharing the Friday Fill In with you babes because it feels like the ultimate girl talk. I can blabber on and on about my recent faves and not worry that they’re not fitting in with the post. If you know me, you know I love to talk and this is the perfect way for me to feel like I’m sitting down, having a cup of coffee with ya.
It felt so good to get our house in order from the wedding, get all our Christmas decor out and actually enjoy life as a normal human not planning a wedding. So, I thought I would spill what we’ve been up to in the past couple of weeks!
I always love a good arm party, especially if it has a significant meaning behind ‘the stack’. My Apple Watch was an impulse purchase, but something I cannot live without now. It surprisingly help keeps me off my phone during the day –if I don’t have it on, I’ll get a text or call and after answer ‘ll check Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, etc. before returning to whatever I was doing 30 minutes later. If I have my watch on, I check it or answer the call and immediately return back to my task. It really helps keep me focused, organized and I love that it keeps track of my fitness. My ‘XO’ bracelet was a gift from one of my favorite bloggers and jewelry designers, Very Allegra! She sent it to me as a wedding present and I’m obsessed. I love how simple and chic it is. It’s perfect as an everyday stack piece or alone for a elegant statement piece. The last bracelet was a wedding present from Babe! It’s a small copper cuff engraved with the coordinates of where we got married! I made him spill the beans on where he found it so I could share it with y’all. I think it would make such a sweet gift for your bridesmaids, best friend or just as a stocking stuffer!
One thing I was most excited about doing once the wedding ended was reading a book! Every time I would try to read a book this year, I would maybe get two pages into it and then think of one million other things I should be doing, so it wasn’t very relaxing. The first thing I did when we got to the airport was stock up on books for our flights. I read three books I really enjoyed (here, here & here) and this one, which wasn’t the best but wasn’t the worst. If you liked Girl on a Train you will love the first three! I would love to hear any books recommendations you may have for me to try next?!
How yummy does this look?! Cinnamon rolls are one of my all time favorite foods. As soon as we received a waffle iron for a wedding present, I whipped these up. They’re so easy and would make the perfect breakfast for Christmas morning. Grab a package of cinnamon rolls and follow these three easy steps:
1. In a hot waffle iron, place a roll in the middle of each section.
2. Close the lid and push it all the way down. Hold it there for about 3 minutes or until your waffles are not hard but no longer dough-y.
3. Place the icing in your microwave for 10 seconds, drizzle over the waffles and enjoy! 😋
We always eat ours with turkey sausage, that way it feels a little healthy. Ha! I cannot wait to make these for my family next time I’m home, we all love cinnamon rolls.
Currently pinning allll the braids to my Pinterest! Monday December 12th Neighborhood Barre Chattanooga is celebrating their 1st birthday! Do y’all have any fun plans for the weekend? We have two birthday parties and the Santa Pub crawl. Not going to lie, we don’t do much crawling haha! We usually only go to the first bar for a few drinks and then head home to see the pups, #GrandmaStatus. I love the Santa Pub Crawl though because I get to dress up and I love a good costume. Remember our Elf on the Shelf costume a few years ago?! xo
