Southside Social

Sharing one of my favorite local spots and sporting my favorite, transitional (under $40) poncho.

I’m not sure if you guys know this or not but I am not truly a Chattanoogan. Yes I claim Chattanooga as my hometown for many reasons, it’s absolutely gorgeous, there are so many fun local spots and in my opinion, it’s the best city in Tennessee. I actually grew up in Memphis and moved here almost 5 years ago. I get a lot of emails about my favorite spots here, what to do if you’re visiting for a weekend, or just about the city in general. I realized I have never actually shared any of my favorite go to’s! Let me know what you think and if you have any questions about Chattanooga, Memphis, Tennessee or anywhere I’ve traveled to!

Almost any given weekend you will find me at Southside Social. No matter the weather SSS has something for everyone, inside has two bars, a bowling alley, ping pong tables, pool tables, skeeball, and some of the most delicious food. My favorite are the back alley nachos and buffalo dip but honestly it’s all amazing. Outside you can play giant jenga, bochee ball, corn hole and hang out by a fire pit. They have multiple tv’s for watching games (babe’s favorite part) and if you’re a Chattanooga Moc’s fan you are right next to the stadium!

I will be sharing more of my Chattanooga favorites over the next few weeks and plenty in the future as well but if you’re looking for more bars to check out soon a few of my favorites are Clyde’s on Main and The Flying Squirrel.

As for this outfit, I am guilty of being an outfit repeater. I cannot stop wearing this poncho. I’ve worn it over bathing suits, I’ve worn it over a slip dress and I’ve worn it over these denim shorts. Each time I love it more and more. During the Summer it pairs perfectly with bright accessories and transitions into Fall it’s the perfect blank canvas for booties, hats, delicate layered jewels.

Xo, Riley

ps. I instagrammed this necklace over the weekend and I’m happy y’all were just as obsessed as I am! The full look will be on the blog soon but I wanted to go ahead and share it. Also, I wore this gold tee and it’s super soft! I love it for being a little fancy, a little casual and I know it will be adorable during the holidays or paired with leather leggings. It’s on sale right now + an extra 20% off!

Soaking up everyday is easy with this sweet boy. He’s pretty much all smiles as long as the attention is all on him. He really loves eating, babies and Doodle. He’s scooting and already trying to get into everything. Lucky for us, so far he pretty much just goes in circles. His first tooth popped through and he has a little bit of very blonde hair. ⁣

Speaking of being frozen.. supposed to go to Memphis Monday but an ice/snow storm is coming?! So we either have to leave tomorrow or wait 😭 which interferes with the GF fried bologna biscuits I was surprising RJ with Sunday morning. 😂 #HomeSweetSitton
