My first trimester was not the worst, not compared to some of the stories I’ve heard! I didn’t have morning sickness (a miracle I know!) and mainly was just exhausted and so unmotivated to do anything. We found out I was pregnant at the very beginning of December, so I basically spent all of December and most of January in hibernation. I still had a few things that made this time easier and more comfortable, so I thought it would be fun to share my First Trimester Must-Haves, aka my Survival Kit!

Even if you’re not pregnant, you will love any of these items on my First Trimester Must-Haves list. They’re basically my go-to’s and I’ve included a Lululemon $24 Align Legging Dupe that is AMAZING (and not technically maternity). I also see a lot of girls asking “My friend just found out she’s pregnant, what can I gift her during this time?”. I think a gift for the Mama to Be is an amazing thing to give someone when they first find out. The baby will be showered with gifts later, so why not treat your BFF to something cozy and helpful during this crazy time.
First Trimester Must-Haves
Lululemon Align Dupe // These are incredible! I actually purchased them right before I found out I was pregnant and then basically lived in them ever since. I sized up to a Large and they fit great. As my stomach is starting to pop, they are getting a little tight but still one of my favorite things to wear right now. I cannot recommend these enough! Pregnant or not pregnant, they are identical to my Lululemon Align leggings and almost $100 cheaper.
Emu Fur Slippers // My favorite slippers in the entire world. I think they are better than UGG or any other slippers I’ve ever tried. I am actually on my second pair after wearing my first pair for almost two years. I wear them every single day. They are comfortable, cute and easy to walk in. I also wear them while traveling, I just can’t get enough. I can’t tell you how much I loved coming home and putting these on.
Eminence Mangosteen Cleanser // One of the first things I knew had to go (besides my beloved Champagne) was my skincare routine. I reached out to a good friend of mine who is an aesthetician and she recommended Eminence products. I’ve used them before and always loved them, they are completely organic yet unlike some products on the market, the products get to a cellular level and not just work on top of the skin. I picked up this cleanser and instantly fell in love. My breakouts cleared up tremendously and the cleanser smells so good. I highly recommend this product whether you’re pregnant or not.
Eminence Eight Greens Youth Serum // I’ve actually used this product before I was pregnant and loved it then, too! It is so great for helping clear acne. I use it morning and night, after washing my face. I actually quit using a moisturizer and only use these two products. It’s easy and effective, a nice break from my longer pre-pregnancy skin routine.
Barefoot Dreams Blanket // This is a pricier blanket but it is truly so worth it. I sleep with mine every single night and look forward to cuddling up with it after a long day. It’s become my adult security blanket and was so nice to have during the long, exhausting first trimester.
Barefoot Dreams Robe // Speaking of cozy nights, I seriously would look forward to nothing more than wrapping in this robe and laying under my blanket. There are so many things you have to change when you find out you’re expecting, being able to be wrapped in a cloud of Barefoot Dreams is the ultimate treat! I received this as a gift after we told our close family we were pregnant and I will forever gift this to my friends when they tell me they’re pregnant. It was perfect and I still wear it every day!
Lavender Neck Wrap // While I didn’t suffer from morning sickness, I did get a lot of headaches. I tried very hard not to take any medicine unless absolutely necessary, so I looked for alternate solutions. I found a lot of relief in this microwaveable neck wrap. It smells so good, is heavy and helped relieve so many of my headaches! It’s so affordable and cannot believe I didn’t have this pre-pregnancy too ha!
Kodiak Cakes Blueberry Muffin Cups // These were a lifesaver for me! I would get SO hungry in the mornings, something I was not used to. Meat grossed me out and I do not like eggs. I was stumped what to eat for breakfast and knew I couldn’t treat myself to a chicken biscuit every morning. I tried these and instantly fell in love. They are super easy (one minute in the microwave and done!), delicious and full of protein so they keep me full for a while. Something that is not the norm these days! I ended up ordering off Amazon because they come in a pack and are cheaper vs. the grocery store where you have to buy them individually.
What do you think!? I know these seem simple enough but they truly made a huge difference in that long, scary first trimester. I’d love to hear if you have anything from your First Trimester Must-Have list that you want to add for other Mamas-to-be! If you are currently in your first trimester, congratulations!! I hope it’s easy and goes by quickly. XO
