Sound the Alarm! This past weekend, we celebrated our sweet boy’s FIRST BIRTHDAY. They say time flies and it truly does. I cannot believe we have a one year old. We had the absolute best day celebrating him with a Fireman First Birthday.
I wanted things to be low key, but I also love a party and planning one is a great joy of mine. I live for a theme so, this may not be low key for some but was for us. It was just the right amount for this First birthday blowout and felt very do-able. Be sure to keep scrolling as I’ll share tons of photos.
Almost every part of this Fireman First Birthday Party was a DIY! My favorite parts were Foster’s cheesy grin that we turned into custom coozies, cupcake toppers and stickers! I’ll be sharing video tutorials on my Instagram for how to make these, so be sure to follow along – @RileySitton.
Since Foster’s birthday is in July and boy is it hot, we opted for an evening party and prayed for a mountain breeze. While things were warm, I don’t think anyone was miserable. The Giant Fire Hydrant Sprinkler helped cool off the kids and was a huge hit.
For food, we wanted to keep things simple. We ordered 3 sandwich trays from Costco + made some PB&J sandwiches. I made Pasta Salad and Fruit Salad, we had tons of chips, cookies and cupcakes!
In addition to food and cake, we had a giant sprinkler, fire shoot out game, adopt a fire pup station and a fire truck! Since RJ owns a construction company, he uses the fire truck for demolitions. It made the perfect center piece for our party. We think this made for an all around good time at our Fireman first birthday party.

I truly am still in disbelief that this sweet little boy is ours, much less one! What a wild year it’s been. I cannot wait to see what’s to come but also sadly soaking up what’s left of this baby stage. Thanks for popping by to his First birthday. Keep scrolling to see the day depicted in photos.
