Date Night

FRIYAY! Per usual, I’m doing my little TGIF happy dance. One thing I look forward to on the weekends is Date Night. Being recently engaged, our week is now extra busy. Meeting with vendors, conference calls and extra emails on top of our normal week. Friday is the night you can push it all aside and head to Happy Hour or a great dinner.

One of our favorite local places is Feed Co. It’s one of those restaurants where you’re certain the waitress has left a zero off your bill because it’s way too cheap. Seriously, we can get a bottle of wine, an appetizer and two great entrees for around $50.  Especially with Lent, I can’t eat meat on Fridays and I swear they have the best salmon I’ve ever eaten.

There’s a funny story behind Feed Co. and I’m surprised RJ takes me back there..

The weekend it opened we went to try it. We enjoyed a great glass of wine on the front porch while waiting for our table.. I had finished my wine but holding onto the glass because I didn’t want to just leave it outside.

Big mistake.

While walking to our table I slipped. It wasn’t a graceful, light slip either. It was a full on face plant. I fell face first, catching myself with my already occupied hands, shattering the wine glass into my palm and slicing my hand open. I’ll spare you the rest of the details.

Luckily the staff at Feed was incredible, my hand is fine and it continues to be one of our faves after the fiasco but it was embarrassing! I’m so clumsy y’all!

Hopefully your date night goes better than this one & in an outfit like this you’re going to Cha Cha all night long. Seriously, you’re going to love a night out in the coziest tee and cutest skirt.

The key to everything is balance and a great outfit is no exception.

While a snakeskin skirt can come off super edgy, pairing it with a blush tee and lace up heels can help ‘girl-ify’ it. A tee and skirt together may look messy, but my all time favorite half tuck helps it look put together. A leather jacket tops off the look with the perfect balance of I rode my motorcycle here but it’s blush with a cute basket on the front for my shopping bags. 😉

Relaxed Tee *24 Colors! // You need this tee! A good quality tee is key to every wardrobe. This one is so soft and comes in twenty four colors. I’m wearing pink hero in large because I wanted an oversized look. This tee is only $25, not much more than you would find at Forever 21 but the quality is 100x better.

Snakeskin Skirt // This skirt is surprisingly super comfortable. The snakeskin is a fun twist on your normal mini skirt. If you’re looking to dress it up, it would be adorable with this top

Leather Jacket (Similar *3 Colors) // You already know this is a must have on my list. You will be able to wear it multiple times every week and under $100 is a great price for a jacket that will last you years.

Lace Up Heels // These heels are on major repeat. The light nude color is perfect with any outfit you have. It lightens up an all black outfit or is feminine with your favorite Little White Dress.

Grey Crossbody (Similar) Black Ray Bans *On Sale

Even if you’re a horrible date like me (Sorry babe!), you can look and feel the part in a great outfit like this. It’s fun to try something unexpected like a casual tee and fun, printed skirt. What is your favorite Date Night tradition?!
