Last week, I took the most gorgeous trip to Colorado. I was truly spoiled, everything was gorgeous. The weather, the location- it was all really too much! I was so excited to soak up some girl time, cool weather and relaxation. Here’s a little photo diary and outfit round up from my trip.
We flew into Denver and drove about three hours to Edwards, Colorado. It is about 20 minutes from Beaver Creek and Vail area. The view from our house was absolutely breathtaking. It seriously never got old. It was best enjoyed with a warm cup of coffee or crisp glass of chilled rosé.
The next day we went into Vail for lunch and shopping (and more rosé). I loved loved loved Vail and this adorable peasant blouse – hence all the photos ha! While we were shopping I grabbed a stuffed moose for the pups and they love it.
Melanie’s Outfit Details: Topshop Blouse (not online yet, I’ll share once it’s available on my IG) | Chloe Sunglasses | Levi Shorts | YSL Crossbody (this is next on my wishlist but in brown for Fall!) |
The wildflowers outside our house were so beautiful. It truly felt like a fairy tale! We snagged these adorable sweaters from the Nordstrom sale and they paired perfectly with denim shorts. They are reversible and I’m obsessed. The weather in Colorado really kicked my fall fever into gear.
Mornings here were just as gorgeous as the sunsets. This morning we woke up to 50 degree weather and I was so happy snuggled up in my cardigan and hot coffee. It was so cool seeing how the mountains changed colors throughout the day.
Our third day there we hiked to lunch. We didn’t realize how far away the clubhouse actually was and we hiked almost 5 miles one way haha! Luckily most was downhill but it was still a trek, at least the views were great. When we got to the clubhouse it was closed for a golf tournament, but we talked them into some mimosas!
After our hike, we decided to relax and play some games. I was obsessed with every part of this house, it was truly breathtaking! We drove around some of the property and there are lots that are called ‘ranches’ and are 35 acres. We saw so many elk on them and I’m officially convinced I should move to Colorado to be a ranch farmer!
Our final night we headed into Beaver Creek for dinner. We ate on the patio, overlooking a mountain range and next to this stream that ran all the way from the top of the mountain. It has to be one of my favorite patios ever, it was so gorgeous and relaxing. We ended the night with chocolate martinis, a girl’s trip tradition!
RJ and I are talking about taking the dogs back out west this winter when it snows. How cute would Dallas and Doodle be running around?! They would be in heaven! Have you been to Colorado? I’d love to hear your favorite places for our next trip. XO
