Romper *2 Colors, On Sale | Snakeskin Bra/Bathing Suit | Karen Walker Sunnies (My favorites, they flatter every face. I swear!) |
Can we take a second to discuss this giant donut!? You may have seen it on my Snapchat last Saturday,  it's from Universal Studios. Let me tell you, it was incredibly delicious and nothing says TGIF like a donut bigger than your head.

This weekend one of my best friends is getting married. I'm expecting to be super emotional (because I'm a crier! I cried when the guy won $100,000 on the Wheel of Fortune last night!). I've had friends get married before, but never a best friend! I hope you have some great plans for the weekend, rather it's a big event or relaxing at home.. enjoy!
Currently coveting all things that make me go 'Ole!'. One of my favorite holidays is right around the corner.. Cinco de Mayo is like the ultimate 'Summer is Here' kick off. Bright colors, margaritas, Coronas (MY FAVORITE) and guacamole.. I've considered moving to Mexico more than once. Until I can convince Babe we are destined to be soaking up the Tulum sun everyday, I'll have to settle for a giant Fiesta once a year week. I've rounded up my favorite outfits and 'fiesta' helpers below, but per usual this off the shoulder top and this super cute graphic tee missed the collage (but somehow didn't miss my shopping cart #Whoops).

1. Tacos & Tequila Tank *On Sale, only $14! // 2. Catci Shorts // 3. Neon Cactus Sign // 4. Cactus Candle *Multiple Colors & Shapes, Obsessed with the Flamingo one! // 5. Mini Cactus PiƱata // 6. Mini Food Truck Food Stand // 7. Pineapple Cup // 8. Embroidered Dress // 9. Neon Pink Dress *3 Colors // 10. Pom Pom Sandals *I'm wearing these, they're SO cute in person // 11. T Back Dress *4 Colors

What are y'all's Cinco de Mayo plans!? I'm having a mini fiesta in our backyard. I'm so excited because we ordered Yardzee (think the giant, outdoor version of Yahtzee) and it will be here in time! I also love Show Me Your Mumu for fun, Summer outfits that fit perfectly with the Ole theme!
| 'But First Coffee' Tee | Drawstring Denim Shorts *On Sale! | Stripe Pullover *4 Colors, 40% Off! | Converse | DVF Luggage *2 Colors, 3 Sizes, On Sale + Extra 25% Off!  |

Last weekend I played hooky and headed to a girl's weekend in Orlando! It was my first time traveling with our new luggage and I was obsessed! Luggage was the first wedding present we received and all the other gifts are going to have a hard time competing for best gift, I'm pretty smitten with this set. If you're on the market for new rolling suitcases, these are so sturdy and stylish with an amazing price. I also received this duffle bag & Babe received this sleek, leather duffle. Jamaica here we come! #Honeymooners

ps. While we were in FL, we swung by Saks to check out the Wildfox sale.. bad decision, great results. So many great pieces on sale and luckily you can shop it online too! I've been living in this sweatshirt since we got home and this tee is on my wish list.

pps. I read this book on the plane. Literally, I read the entire book. I'm a fast reader but this one was AMAZING, I couldn't put it down. Highly recommend it if you like books with a twist!

Some days y'all probably think all I do is eat! I just love, love, love to snap what I'm cooking. This ground turkey recipe has quickly become one of my go to's. It's so easy to make and it tastes good on anything. Like we've eaten it by itself, with a fork. I usually make it for dinner and we eat it on spaghetti squash, the next day I put the leftovers on top of my eggs (scrambled with spinach). It's one of my favorite things ever and up until two months ago, I hated eggs!

Pin this recipe to your Pinterest boards here! This recipe is Paleo, Whole 30 and Babe approved ;).

You can also make this a 'Mexican' dish, which is equally as yummy! Switch out the italian spices for cilantro, chili powder, paprika and onion powder (keep the garlic!) and add a can of diced green chiles. We often make the Mexican version, Babe will eat it in a taco and I put it on spaghetti squash *shocker*.

Little Happy Things

Tuesday, April 26, 2016

I've been mentally making a list of my little happy things, not the important happy things like Babe, my family, friends and pups, but the tiny day to day things that make your day just a little bit better. The list started short and sweet but everyday I find new ones making it that much sweeter! The list began.. mint chocolate chip anything, the Wheel of Fortune, when online packages come in the mail, pattern mixing, Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc, Yahtzee, Real Housewives, baking something new, Coronas with Lime, finding a great candle, reading a good book. The list is never ending but isn't that what makes each day special?!

Today I'm sharing my little secrets for creating a great, personal look, Pattern Mixing
It's one of those things that's like an optical illusion, it looks hard to do but it's actually very simple. First, almost every pattern will look great together as long as you love it and you rock it with confidence. Remember, style is about having fun and being yourself.
A few of my favorite patterns to mix are..
floral + leopard
stripes + camoflauge
spots + spots (one big print & one little print)
gingham + floral

Mixing patterns adds dimension, character, pizzaz to what could just be a normal floral dress or stripe tee. It will make you stand out, while looking extremely put together with little to no effort!

Floral Shift Dress [℅] // If your favorite ice cream sherbet and the holy grail of summer dresses had a love child, this floral number would be it. Comfortable, chic, pockets --it's got it all. The fabric is to die for and the way is dresses up or down earned it a number 1 spot in my closet.

Leopard Heels (Dupe, Dupe) // These hold a very special place in my heart. A gift from my mother for not only my golden birthday but I also wore them during my first trip to New York Fashion Week! Can you believe it's almost time to start planning our new NYFW trip?! SO Exciting. I love the feminine ankle strap paired with the bold leopard. The thick heel and platform make these a breeze to walk in. I've linked two more budget friendly options as well!

Beaded Necklace *10 Colors // A summer staple, this looks heavy but is actually so light. It's great for adding a little something, something to your favorite dress or jazzing up a cozy tee. I'm wearing color teal, but all ten colors are so gorgeous and fun!

What are the little things that make you smile everyday?! I think it's great to create this little list because you're bound to have bad days, but finding that little something can make everyday extra special.

ps. Tomorrow is the start of Siskin Children's Institute's 40th annual Styleworks! I would love if you could make it by to chat with Alex & I, shop, eat, drink and help an amazing cause. Get all the details here. XO

Products I love: Spring Beauty Routine

Tuesday, April 19, 2016

I have to admit something.. the older I get the more I realize my mom is almost always right. I know, I know daughters everywhere are cringing for this 'I told you so moment' our mothers can now call and shout at us! Hear me out though..

For years my Mama has said to me 'Riley, put oil on your face. It's great for your skin.'

Dumb right? I told her over and over, I have oily skin. Why would I ever want to add more oil to it? I continued to search the market for every and any product that would dry my skin out. Then I read about Bare Minerals Oil Obsessed. A girl said she had always struggled with oily skin, breakouts and skin problems in general. She also said it smelled amazing and being a Bare Minerals Make Up lover I figured I should give it a shot. (My mom is going to kill me for taking a strangers advice over her own!! Sorry Mom, love ya!)

I immediately started seeing amazing results. I was so happy with this purchase, I was texting all my friends 'BUY THIS'. Not only is it a million times easier than my old skin care routine, it smelled how I imagine Spas in Heaven would smell and it works. Everyone was noticing a difference in my skin and it felt great.

I was so excited to share this with you babes as well obviously! I have been snapchatting it for a few weeks now but I wanted to give it time before I did a full review on it. Since my skin changes in the Spring/Summer months, I decided to throw in all my warm weather beauty faves.

Bare Minerals Oil Obsessed *Gift w. Purchase! // You apply the cleanser to dry skin (this saves your bathroom from looking like a flood zone afterwards!), the directions calls for 3-4 pumps but I usually stick to 2 pumps, unless I wore a lot of make up that day. You massage on your dry face, including eyes and lips, for two-ish minutes. You then wet your hands with warm water and massage again, creating a cleansing milk. Then rinse and pat dry! I got a lot of questions if you could use your Clarasonic with this product and yes, you can! I would wet it with warm water and use it to create the milky lather. Since this is more moisturizing then my usual face wash, I usually skip a moisturizer.. unless it's my Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer! I use this instead of a foundation and only put it on if I'm doing my make up that day.

Aveeno Clear Complexion // Bare Minerals has become my day to day cleanser, using it both morning and night. When I shower though I like to use a gentle exfoliation scrub. The aveeno is gentle, yet effective! I don't shower everyday (I take a lot of baths, I hate to wash my hair more than 2-3 times a week! I am currently obsessed with this dry shampoo.) but whenever I do shower I use the Aveeno.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle // Growing my hair out for the wedding is a task! My hair grows so slow. I stopped wearing my extensions a few months ago after getting my hair lighter for Spring. While I will always have a special place in my heart for extensions, right now I'm loving the extra volume I can achieve without them and the freedom to try fun hairstyles without worrying if they're showing. I am attempting to keep my hair in a healthy condition and was looking for a cheap, hair mask I could use. After many recommendations I decided to try this one! You put it on in the shower and let it soak for 3 minutes. Not only does it smell like the most amazing tropical Pina Colada filled getaway, but I've already noticed a difference in my hair!

Neutrogena Body Clear Scrub & Loofah Brush // You know I love my Neighborhood Barre classes, the only con I would ever say about it is.. wearing a sports bra longer is causing my back to break out. I picked up this acne fighting body scrub and this loofah brush to reach my back and I already love it. Having a clear back is a must in the Spring & Summer time!

If you're still hesitant about trying oil, I understand but this is why it's great:
When we use a cleanser that drys out our face, our body reacts by producing more oil. This leads to more problems, break outs and an imbalance in your skin. By using Bare Minerals Oil Obsessed, you are cleaning the skin with oil and hydrating (plus it's all natural ingredients, no harsh chemicals!). Your skin knows it's receiving moisture and reacts accordingly!

Plus every time you wash your face, it feels like a mini spa session!

I hope you love these products as much as I do, please let me know if you try them and what you think! What are some of your favorite beauty products?! I'm dying to know all your secrets because I want that bridal glow! I'm also searching for the perfect Spring lipstick, if you have any suggestions!
ps. This post is not sponsored in any way, I just love these products and wanted to share!

Styleworks 2016 + A Million Thanks

Monday, April 18, 2016

Today is such a special post for me. I've written on here about some pretty amazing parts of my life. I've shared with you guys three birthdays, when I hit ten thousand followers, when I became engaged and finding my wedding dress. Not to mention that I get to share a little piece of every day with you. That I am forever thankful for.

But honestly, I feel this can easily turn into a very selfish industry. Quite often I find myself writing 'I bought this, I wore this, I love this top, this brand is my favorite..' when in all actuality I know clothes are not the most important thing in life. They never will be but feeling your best is (rather we like it or not!) a huge part of being happy. Even if it's not having a new outfit or an expensive outfit, having an outfit, hairstyle, 'look' that you love makes you feel better and more confident. In my book, confidence is a huge key in life.

The point of this is while I often feel like I'm writing so much about how to look your best, I always hope it comes off as a big picture. I want to be your best friend you can turn to when you need help with everyday outfits, a huge event or a gift for someone special in your life.

I often receive emails from girls in high school, college or beyond and they share a little bit about how I've helped them overcome body image issues, how I've helped them be more confident in school and social settings or just saying thank you. I can never express how much these emails mean to me.. even just writing this right now brings me tears. I'm so happy that everything I put into this blog, has helped even one person, let alone multiple girls.

So when I was approached with the opportunity to give back to our community, to children with special needs and multiple families? Well that was the easiest 'Yes!' I've ever given.
Sorry RJ, your marriage proposal was an easy yes too! Ha!

So what's all the Chatter about?! Well, every year Siskin Children's Institute hosts a two day event, called Styleworks, filled with shopping from both local stores and Belk's newest collections, cocktails, mini-spa stations (think manicures, hair trims and back massages!), a fashion show with both professional models and children from the hospital and a luncheon. All this happens in a gorgeous 'southern garden-esque' setting on April 27th and 28th. This year they're even including a man cave so your men can tag along! They will have sports playing with drinks, 2016 car model sneak peeks, food and the whole recliner set up --just don't blame me if RJ ends up becoming their BFF and your man doesn't want to ever leave. RJ could seriously talk to a brick wall. Ha!

These two days sound like a blast right?! Well it gets even better, the money is helping these adorable children. Some have physical disabilities and some have mental disabilities but Siskin provides an amazing learning environment for every single child.
I had the opportunity to tour the classrooms and they are all so welcoming! They mix natural elements with soft lighting to make everyone feel right at home. There is both individualized attention when they need it or a group setting to play in. If a child does need additional therapy, medical attention or anything, it happens right there in the classroom, side by side with the other students so they never feel singled out or miss out from education or activities the other children are receiving. Their work knows no bounds when it comes to making every family and child feel comfortable and happy. I knew that was a mission I wanted to help with.

This year is the 40th anniversary of Styleworks and I know it's going to be amazing. Since not all of my readers are local to Chattanooga, I hate you won't be able to have the opportunity to come say hello in person but just good thoughts and prayers for these families would help! If you are local and would like to attend you can buy tickets here and you can also make donations to Siskin Children's Institute here

Thanks so much for allowing me to take a break from my usual outfit posts to talk about something close to my heart. I hope I can see every one of you girls there, please come by Alex and I's booth. We will have personalized styling consultations, a Photo Booth and I would LOVE to meet every one of you guys! I couldn't think of a better excuse for a girl's night out.. cocktails, shopping and it helps precious children?! Sign me up!

ps. If you're local, you can pick up this month's copy of Chatter magazine to see some of the adorable kids modeling Spring fashions + read more about Siskin Children's Institute and this event.

4.15.16 The Friday Fill In

Friday, April 15, 2016

I've been dying to share our deck with you babes and I decided the perfect time was to 'invite' y'all over for a little girl time during the Friday Fill In. I kicked off this new series last week, I love being able to share a little piece of your hectic day and just have some chit chat.

I love our porch but there's still a ton of things we need to do--including that Utah looking mountain in the background, we're still good ole' Tennesseans y'all! I also want an outdoor rug and I want some yard games + Babe wants a new grill. If the dogs had a say, Dallas would definitely vote for a kiddie pool! It's a process, lemme tell you.

It's so nice to have a little place to grille out, let the dogs run around and enjoy my favorite wine with good friends. These April showers are really putting a rut in all our plans but hopefully it will be sunshine from here on out! In the meantime, I'm making my own sunshine.

Lately I've been snapchatting a ton of workouts #Don'tHateMe. My favorite place to work out is Neighborhood Barre, but I also love to run by the river a few days a week. Since I'm working out so much, I am wanting to buy so many new athleisure pieces and tennis shoes! I'm going to share my wish list with y'all below.  If you're looking for a little bit more 'fitspo' one of my favorite girls to follow on Instagram (@VeryAllegra) and Snapchat (Allegraif), she's also a bride to be, cooks the yummiest & healthiest meals and is always dressed SO cute.
*Scroll + Click to Shop*

I cannot get enough Avocado Toast!! It makes sense that I love it because avocados are one of my favorite foods and I think everyone loves bread -instant winner! My favorite combo is 1 piece of Ezekiel Bread (I keep mine frozen & just pop it straight into the toaster!), 1/2 an Avocado, some Lemon Juice, a dash of Pepper, a dash of Siracha & if I'm feeling fancy I'll add a Fried Egg and let the yolk run out over the toast.. OMG it's heaven. The best part is it takes about 5 minutes to make the whole thing, it's the perfect way to start your morning. I've been pinning new avo-toast recipes to try but what is your favorite?!

I'm in the market for a new crossbody bag. I need a simple bag that's easy to take out to dinner or running errands during the day. I can't seem to pick one (I have the hardest time making decisions!!) and would love to know which is y'all's favorite! I really want this one, but I'm nervous it's not the right one!

One // Two // Three // Four

I hope you guys are having the TGIF-iest Friday EVER! I'm so happy it's finally here, I feel like this week has lasted months! & Good news, my baby sister made the pom squad!! She face timed me crying last night (happy tears!!) and I'm so happy her hard work paid off! XO
