Good Morning Readers! I hope everyone is having a happy hump day so far. I wanted to share with you all how I transitioned this gorgeous kimono from Summer to Fall!
Fall-la-la-la. It's on everyone's mind, especially my own, but I am trying to expand my wardrobe without shrinking my bank account. I was taking a long look at my closet and realized, SO many pieces I loved this summer, will easily work for this in between weather! 90 degrees I loved this light, flowy piece with my summer uniform: shorts and a crop. Now it's perfect with my fall uni: leather leggings & OTK boots. I topped the boho chic vibe off with a floppy hat and simple green necklace compliments of Knot + Bow Designs.

Puddle Jumping with Doodlebug

Friday, October 3, 2014

Double Post Day! I had to share this amazing sale with you today, 20% off all Hunter Rain Boots!! Don't let the name fool you, these boots are great for Fall and Winter, all weather. They were perfect for walking Doodle this morning, we had a blast splashing in puddles and jumping in leaves.
I went back and forth on spending $100+ for these boots, but I am SO happy I did. They still look brand new after multiple tsunamis this summer in Memphis, New Orleans, Charleston and MORE. I am so happy now because I can add socks and keep my little toesies warm. Have fun picking your perfect pair, you really cannot go wrong with any of them.

School Girl Sparkle

Thursday, October 2, 2014

Tee.Gee.I.Eff Readers! I have been dying to share this outfit with you all for a while now! It's combining two ultimate obsessions: school girl chic + sequins. Who doesn't love sequins?
I've really, really been feeling the school girl vibe this year, think Gossip Girl meets Clueless, but I wanted a way to switch it up from just plaid skirts and button downs. (Which is still great too).
The leather skater skirt is shaped and pleated just like my old school skirt, but the leather adds a definite edge. The white button down is great on it's own, but layering the sequin crop is so fun. I might as well zip these boots on for the rest of the season because I do not see myself taking them off anytime soon, scratch that ever.

I would love to see your favorite takes on the Fall school girl trend, tag me on instagram and I'll repost some!

Put a Pep in Your Step for October!

Wednesday, October 1, 2014

HAPPY OCTOBER, YA'LL! It's officially my birthday month and the best month of the year, duh! Today I wanted to share with you a little of the preppy side of Chacos & Chanel.
I know I talk about layering a lot but seriously it's so important, it not only saves you so much money  but it's so easy and effortlessly chic. By layering different patterns, fabrics, and lengths you can mix + match your outfit so many different ways without spending as much money!

Today I paired my faux leather leggings (SUCH a fall staple) with my favorite chambray shirt, since it's chilly in the mornings now *yay* I also added this adorable polka dot sweat shirt. When it warms up later I will tie the sweatshirt around my waist, I love tying things around my waist. I added a simple necklace for a pop of color. I stuck with a neutral and fun pair of oxfords, which can easily be dressed up or down. I chose my navy Tory bag to play off the blue in my necklace.
