Four Face Masks for Sensitive Skin

One of my all time favorite ways to unwind is with a face mask. I have never had perfect skin, so I'm constantly looking for new ways to get that gorgeous gal glow. Over the past year or so, I've found my four favorites that really have made a difference in the quality of my skin.

Plus, slathering on a face mask, letting it do it's magic while I relax is one of the best feelings in the world.

I actually had so many problems with my skin over the past year, I've visited multiple doctors, tried many different medicines, hormones, diets, products, honestly the list goes on and on. It wasn't until very recently (probably February 2017) that I finally found some products that actually made a difference in my skin. I've talked about this line that drastically changed my life *insert all the praise hands emojis here* but a biweekly mask has also been a huge help.

I like to rotate out the masks so that my skin doesn't get used to the same one every week. These are the four that I like to keep on hand. I have very sensitive skin and these have never added any problems, in fact they've all helped with blemish, dry skin, dull skin, etc. (I'll break this down more below). My best friend has normal, combination skin and she also has tried (& loves) each of these as much as I do.

To prep your skin for a face mask: Wash with a gentle cleanser, then I like to steam my face to open up my pores. You can boil a pot of water and carefully stand over the steam or you can get a wash cloth as hot as you can stand and let it lay on your face for a few minutes.

This one smells so, so fresh and clean! The tub is little, but a little bit of mask goes a long way. It goes on clear with small green flecks. The first time I used it, I was cooking dinner with it on and hubs thought I got herbs all over my face haha! This leaves your skin feeling super soft and glow-y. I don't see a huge help in drying out current blemishes, but I do think it helps prevent future blemishes.

Like the Eminence, this Tula mask also has a probiotic factor. Unfortunately, this one doesn't have a smell (it doesn't smell bad though!). I love how it has small crystal like texture that exfoliates as you rub it on. Again, I feel like the tub is a tad small for the price but a little goes a long way! I've had mine since October and I'm just now starting to run low. This mask is great for drying out current problem areas while balancing oily skin and exfoliating your whole face for soft, glowing skin.

Out of all four of these masks I think I use this one the most because I use it two different ways! I use it as an all over face mask and I use it a spot treatment under my make up. First- as a face mask, I love it. It smells like a delicious sunscreen and tingles as it's drying. I love that you can actually feel it working. Your skin feels tighter afterwards and blemishes appear smaller. The second way I use it is as a spot treatment! After I finish my whole skin routine, I take a small q-tip and apply a tiny, tiny amount to a pimple and let dry. I then apply my make up as normal. This helps my blemishes disappear in half the time!

This is perfect for a quick mask. If you're in a hurry, you can apply this to dry skin and leave for 60 seconds, rinse and go! It feels so fresh. It's perfect for a quick Summer glow. Since there isn't any exfoliating properties, I don't see a huge change to blemishes immediately but it definitely helps clear skin over time and keep it clear.

If you are struggling with skin problems like I was I know how incredibly frustrating it can be. I was to the point where I wanted to peel my skin off, I honestly felt like I would never have 'normal' skin again. Now that I've found some relief I hope that I can help someone with their skin.

ps. this sweatshirt is my favoooorite. The brand is Wildfox, their stuff is amazing but sometimes $$$. You can usually get adorable tees, sweatshirts and more for half off here.
